PHILIPPE (FLIP FLOP) RYSER is someone who embodies exactly what our club is. He is the perfect Trident on and off the pitch. It is people like Flip who make people love this club. He is one of the most lovable and fun people you could wish to meet. When he is on the pitch he gives 100%; when he is training he gives 100% and most of all when he is off the pitch he gives it 100%.
He has an uncanny ability to get through tackles, always break the gain line and score tries. He has a great rugby mind and an instinct to run the right lines.
He was top try scorer for two of the last 4 seasons (from 2016 to 2019) and was part of the final drive to win us our 4th straight Florida Championship this season, making up 8 of the last 10 yards needed to get us over the line.
When a lot of Tridents retired after winning in 2017 (and all of them very close friends of Flip), he stuck around on and off the pitch. This made a huge difference to us as a club as we needed our senior and experienced players to show those that were new to the club why they should stick around.
Congratulations Flip, you are a much loved part of the Tridents and will forever be part of the club as one of the first ever members of our Hall of Fame.
