April 15th, 2023

On a warm Bradenton, FL Saturday afternoon, the Tridents fought there way back against a strong St. Petersburg Pelicans side for a hard earned sixth State Championship in seven years. The final score was 32-31. In a match that came down to the wire and with five lead changes, the Tridents came out on top. Tries were scored by scrumhalf Mauro Pettenari with two as well as eight-man Manuel Krause and winger Jose "Turbo" Tomatis scoring one try each. The leading scorer, however was fullback Fede Torres Garcia with four conversions and two field goals.

The Tridents are now one of the top sixteen teams in the country and advance to the Gulf Coast Super Regional being held on May 6th & 7th in Orlando, FL. The best teams from Texas to the Carolinas will be there to determine who advances to the National Championship Series to be held in St. Louis, MI on June 3rd & 4th.
