The Tridents are the 2016 Florida Rugby Champions! The championship game took place on Saturday, April 16th at the Polo Grounds in Wellington, FL where they defeated Naples RFC. The match was very evenly fought, with Naples threatening repeatedly to score. At half time, the Tridents were ahead 8-0. In the 2nd half, it was a different story. With the arrival of rain, the Tridents got their offense going with tries from Jason Mayes, Manu Isares, Oscar Forero, and PK's from Sean Murray. The defensive tenacity from the 1st half remained, denying the Hammerheads again and again. The final score was 28-0. Captain Hein Erasmus received the MVP award. Congratulations to all coaches and players on your undefeated season.

The Tridents will now start preparation for the Regional Playoffs in Montgomery, AL on April 30-May 1st. Opponents are to be determined.
