The Tridents opened the 2018-2019 season with a humbling 60 point loss to Naples RFC. Afterwards, the Tridents regrouped under the leadership of first year coach, Hein Erasmus and team captain, Miguel Pena. They would finish the season with a record of 7-1 and as the 2nd seeded team in Florida. This year has been an especially challenging one for the club due to the implementation of a new league and playoff seeding system. The Tridents found themselves in a "Group of Death", having to play against archrivals Naples and Boca Raton twice each during the season. Evidence of how talented and competitive this group was is the fact that all three qualified for the playoffs. There were only five playoff slots available.
This Saturday, April 13th, the Tridents will play their semifinal match versus crosstown rivals, Miami RFC. The game will take place at Athalie Range Park, 525 NW 62nd St, Miami, FL 33150. Kickoff is at 3:00 PM. The Club welcomes all friends, family, and especially old boys to come out and cheer them on! Following the game, the social will be held at our official sponsor bar, Batch Gastropub, 30 SW 12th St, Miami, FL 33130.
If the Tridents win, their next stop is the State Championship game on April 20th in Wellington, FL.
